Meet Dr. Luu

Dr. Kim Luu

brings a unique and compassionate perspective to dentistry, shaped by her diverse medical and dental training. She began her healthcare journey in Vietnam, where she earned her medical degree and completed training in pediatric medicine. After moving to the United States with her family, Dr. Luu discovered her passion for dentistry, where her strong clinical foundation, exceptional hand skills, and attention to detail could come together to make a meaningful impact on oral health.

Dr. Luu went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Wesleyan University, followed by her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Prior to becoming a dentist, she spent three years working as a dental assistant at the very practice
she now proudly joins as an associate dentist, further strengthening her commitment to patient-centered care
and her deep connection to the team and community.

She has a strong interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, particularly in procedures such as fillings,
crowns, and bridges. Dr. Luu is known for her meticulous attention to detail, gentle approach, and thorough care. She is dedicated to creating a comfortable experience while delivering high-quality results tailored to each patient.

Her clinical excellence has been recognized with honors, including the American Prosthodontic Society Award, and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Connecticut State Dental Association, and she regularly volunteers with the Connecticut Mission of Mercy to help expand access to dental care in the community. Outside of the office, Dr. Luu enjoys cooking, crafting, gardening, and hiking with family and friends. She also loves spending time with her American Eskimo dog, Maximus.
